Every December in Lapland there is a buzz in the air. The elves are busy preparing the toys whilst Father Christmas spends most of his days writing to all of the children in the world.
Whilst the children on the naughty list receive tips on how to turn things around before the big day, the children on the nice list are rewarded for their efforts;
By special invite only, a select number of really well behaved children get invited to the biggest event of the year on the Lapland calendar; The lighting of the Christmas tree in the main square on Christmas Eve. This is a huge event for two reasons; When the tree starts to shine the reindeer are filled with magic to fly. The tree then lights the sky, to help Santa and the reindeer on their journey. Santa needs all of the help he can get on Christmas Eve, and with each letter that is delivered a little more magic is added to his tree.
Special instructions on how to attend Santas super exclusive event are given to the children in the letter that they receive. Instructions explain that the special ticket is to be placed under the childs pillow on Christmas Eve, and they will attend the magical event in their dreams. Each letter will come with the required number of tickets for each child to attend.
The idea behind the invitation is to help and encourage children to fall asleep on Christmas Eve. The event is completely fictional.
